Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa have been married for 22 years. The 'Riverdale' star shares his 2 simple tips for a successful marriage. – Business Insider
Mark Consuelos has some simple advice for a successful marriage.
The “Riverdale” star, who partnered with McCafé at Home to encourage people to stick with their New Year’s resolutions, shared some marriage tips with INSIDER.
“Have a cup of coffee with your wife in the morning,” he said. “That would be a good tip. Take time out and do that.”
Consuelos and Kelly Ripa have been married for 22 years. The couple met during a screen test for “All My Children” in 1995. The two had instant chemistry, and Consuelos was cast as Ripa’s love interest on the soap opera. The two soon started dating and eloped in Las Vegas on May 1, 1996.
They have three kids — Michael Joseph, Lola Grace, and Joaquin Antonio.
The actor told INSIDER that he and Ripa also focus on the day at hand instead of stressing about the past or future.
“We take it day by day, and we don’t take each other too seriously,” he said.

The two often gush about each other on social media and show their humor in witty photo captions.
“Find yourself a mate that looks at you the way @instasuelos looks at himself in my goggles,” Ripa captioned one image of the couple during a ski trip.
Ripa even used Consuelos’ TV family for their real family holiday card in 2018.
“Riverdale” airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Ayesha Curry Owes Her Long-Lasting Marriage To Putting Her Relationship Before Everything—Even the Kids! – Brides
A seemingly perfect marriage like Ayesha and Steph Curry‘s doesn’t happen without putting in lots of work. And luckily for us, Ayesha is sharing some of the best marriage advice she’s ever received—something both her and Steph’s parents passed down to them.
“…The biggest thing, both of our parents are still married and have been married for 30-plus years, and the one thing that they both shared with us—some through learning it the hard way, some through just making sure that they do it—is just making sure that we put each other first, even before the kids, as tough as that sounds,” Ayesha said in a recent interview with HelloGiggles.
It’s rare that a mom would say anything but her children—of which she has three—were her priority, but we can’t knock this honesty.
“Putting ourselves first, and making sure that we make time for date nights and for each other. That’s been very important, as hard as it is,” she continued. “Because when you become a parent, you want to put your kids first, and we do, but we do it second to our relationship. Because ultimately, when our relationship is good, the kids are happy and they’re thriving and our family life is good. We have to put that into perspective and realize that it’s not us being selfish, it’s making sure we set a strong foundation.”
In addition to prioritizing date nights over play dates, they also swear by good communication. “I want to say that we’re good communicators, but maybe that wouldn’t be a surprise,” the mom of three said. “But that’s what keeps our bond strong.”
After seven years of marriage and meeting years before as teens, we imagine these two have talked about almost everything. “Even when we don’t want to talk about something, we talk about it,” she admitted. “Especially from my perspective, I’m a ‘lay it all out on the table’ kind of girl, so whether it’s a tough conversation or an easy conversation, I never have a tight lip. I tell it like it is and I tell it straight, and ultimately I think it keeps things a lot better for us.”
Communication is especially key in a powerhouse relationship like this. Steph is busy winning NBA championships, while Ayesha has a full calendar keeping up with her celebrity chef duties. Not only do these two need to be in constant contact to just check in emotionally, they also just need to keep their schedules straight.
According to Ayesha though, It’s not strictly business when it comes to their chats. Steph is apparently quite the funny guy and family man—two items in a list of qualities that helped her decide he was “the one.”
“I think it’s when I realized how humble and selfless he was,” she said. “And honestly he’s so funny, I don’t think a lot of people know how funny he is. When I realized I could just let go and laugh and be myself around him, and that even with everything he had going on in his life at the time he was still this humble, kind, generous, gentle person, I knew that’s who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.”
Before they tied the knot, Steph also took the time to also get to know Ayesha’s family as well, which she says sealed the deal.
“And then I have two younger brothers, and he would come over to my house, play video games with them late into the night, and at the time one of my brothers was still in high school and the other was in middle school, and he would come over as a college student and just hang out with them,” she recalled. “That was so special to me, that he was willing to do that. I was like, ‘He’ll make a great dad.’ And he has!”

Captain Lee from 'Below Deck' Offers Relationship Advice to Tyler and Rhylee – The Cheat Sheet
The blossoming relationship between deckhands Rhylee Gerber and Tyler Rowland is heating up the screen on Below Deck. The pair provided viewers with some serious PG-13 viewing. Plus Gerber doesn’t hold back when asked about how far the relationship has gone.
The couple clearly decided to skip the whole “dating” portion of the relationship and went for a more physical connection. Gerber seems to be completely into Rowland. But does he feel the same way? Captain Lee Rosbach shared his observations in a recent blog. Plus Gerber and Rowland drop hints on social media about where their relationship stands today.
Rosbach offers this advice
Rosbach, who has been married to the love of his life for decades, warns Gerber and Rowland to be cautious. “Now, me thinks that you may be falling too hard and too fast for Tyler,” Rosbach wrote. “Just a hunch, but I don’t feel that he and you are on the same page here. I hope not, but we will see. You had a good week as well, no flare-ups, no confrontations, hard work and a great attitude. So well done.”
He then turns to Rowland. “You had a good week work wise, and your love life seems to be going well, but I get the feeling that you don’t share the same feelings for Rhylee that she seems to be developing for you. I didn’t think your statement was that you flirt all day, have great sex, you make out with someone else and Rhylee doesn’t get mad, was one that you thought out very well before you said it. But lets see how it plays out. But I think that there may be some dark clouds on the horizon for you and her.”
Gerber seems to have moved on too
Like many Below Deck romances, Gerber seems to have moved on post-season. Rowland is generally missing from her social media. Plus she addressed a question about her love life on her Instagram story.
One fan asked if she was open to getting married and settling down. Gerber responded that she’s still open to finding love but is not in a hurry. She also may be appearing in the next season of Below Deck. Another fan asked if she would be appearing on season seven. She responded that she “hoped to be.”
Rowland is often photographed with this crew member
Another clue that Rowland and Gerber probably took Rosbach’s advice is Rowland’s Instagram. Most of the cast images he posts are with third stew Laura Betancourt. Or the rest of the crew.
Rowland posted a photo with Betancourt when the crew filmed the reunion, which got fans buzzing. “I don’t know if you guys are a couple or not but you’re def cute together!”
But others were Team Rhyler. “@tyler.rowland@thelifeofrhylee you two make a cute couple!& have great chemistry! Would be nice to see you two hook up again & Be included in the next season of Below Deck! I hope that they don’t bring that Laura who is bitchy & acts like she knows it all.”
