It’s not news to Savannah’s wedding professionals, but the Hostess City has once again been deemed one of the most romantic cities around.
According to DatingAdvice.com, Savannah ranks third for North America’s 10 Most Romantic Cities, behind No. 1 Nashville, Tenn., and second-place Quebec City, Quebec.
To determine the rankings, DatingAdvice.com evaluated the local sights, area attractions, accommodations, restaurants, bars, wineries, public parks and tourism stats, in addition to social media comments and reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor and Yelp. Savannah particularly stood out for its vast dining options, Southern hospitality, and historic culture, according to the site.
The site mentions charming local spots such as the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, Rocks on the Roof, and Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, and of course, low-key date activities like a picnic in Forsyth Park.
“Many couples automatically think of Europe when planning a romantic getaway, but our dating experts believe these North American cities offer just as much intimacy and relaxation,” said Amber Brooks, DatingAdvice.com senior analyst and author of the findings. “From wintry mountain escapes to sunny beach towns, we’ve searched from coast to coast to find the most picturesque destinations in the U.S., Mexico, Caribbean, and Canada.”
