It was just last week that news broke that Jersey Shore star Jenni “JWoww” Farley had filed for divorce from Roger Mathews. So when the parents of two reunited over the weekend for their 4-year-old daughter, Meilani, fans were elated.

They commented on a photo that both Farley and Mathews shared of their time at the Disney Junior Dance Party on Tour over the weekend that featured Meilani, one of their two little ones (2-year-old son Greyson wasn’t pictured) with both of them at the family-friendly event.

Fans noted that the snapshot gives them hope for the couple. They mostly wrote kind messages, such as “I’m rooting for your marriage to work out you two go together like macaroni and cheese” and “I pray that you both work out your marriage love you both.”

Of course, there was also some unsolicited marriage advice, along with pleas for the couple to stay together no matter what.

Still others encouraged the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation stars to continue keeping their split cordial for the sake of the kids, something they seem committed to doing.

“So glad no matter what you and Roger are going through you aren’t letting that affect being mom&dad,” one commenter wrote. Another noted, “So happy to see you guys together for [Meilani].”

As reported Thursday, Farley filed for divorce from Mathews, her husband of nearly three years, on Sept. 12 in Ocean County, N.J. She cited “irreconcilable differences which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of at least six months which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved and that there is no prospect of reconciliation,” according to the Asbury Park Press.

Still, Mathews made it clear in a video that he posted to Instagram on Thursday night that he wants nothing more than to get back together with Farley, whom he met during the third season of her show.

“My wife filed for divorce, it’s true. I don’t blame her,” Mathews said. “There’s no cheating or any dumb s*** or any juicy details. She just grew tired of the repetitive pattern that we fell into. Again, I am not going to get into detail, but it was a repetitive pattern and not a good one. Here’s what’s also true: I’m not done fighting. I am going to win my wife back. I’m going to win her affection back. I am going to win her love back. I have no intention of being a single dad. We’re in counseling, so there is hope. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.”

Farley spent another part of her weekend celebrating the beginning of the union between Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and fiancée Lauren Pesce. She didn’t take Mathews along for that one.
