Royal news: Harry yelled 'what Meghan wants she gets' in pre-wedding meltdown rant – claim
The Duke of Sussex is said to have insisted “what Meghan wants, she gets” ahead of the Windsor Castle ceremony on May 19.
According to Charles At Seventy: Thoughts, Hopes And Dreams the weeks leading up the wedding were tense for Harry and Meghan.
It is claimed the couple were so stressed out they booked appointments with Ross Barr, who is known as the “acupuncturist to the stars”.
But according to Prince Charles’s biographer Robert Jobson, Harry endured a “pre-wedding meltdown”.
The claims are among several explosive revelations in the new book.
Meghan’s relationship with Charles is said to be key the Prince Of Wales becoming closer to his youngest son, Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex is even said to have asked Charles’ advice on what music to play at her wedding ceremony.
A source sold Mr Jobson: “When Meghan met the Prince of Wales, she was bowled over by his gentlemanly charm.
“She told Prince Harry he was wonderful; welcoming, warm, hard-working, kind and stable. She made it clear that he should appreciate him and bond more.”
Meghan is also said to be fascinated with British royal history and to pore over notes about the Commonwealth.
Charles recognises his own campaigning zeal and philanthropic streak in his new daughter-in-law, it is claimed.
In the run-up to his wedding, Harry hailed Prince Charles’s “selfless drive” during an emotional speech, the book says.
He was speaking at his father’s official 70th birthday celebrations at Buckingham Palace in May, three days before he tied the knot with Meghan.
Harry said: “Pa, while I know you’ve asked that today not be about you, you must forgive me if I don’t listen to you.
“Much like when I was younger. Instead, I ask everyone here to say a huge thank-you to you, for your incredible work over nearly 50 years.
“It is your selfless drive to effect change, whether that is to improve the lives of those who are on the wrong path or a particular species under threat, which William and I draw inspiration from every day.”
Prince William was not present at the celebrations as he was at an official event to mark the first anniversary of the Manchester Arena terrorist attack.
Charles turns 70 on November 14.
