Get your boyfriend’s name tattooed on your bikini line

Lauren was in a relationship with Mark Wright when the show first hit our screens all the way back in 2010 and in the opening scene, Amy Childs spotted Lauren’s tattoo of Mark’s name on her bikini line during a spray tan.

But while a tattoo is a permanent fixture, it soon became clear Lauren and Mark’s nine-year relationship was anything but that.

Then get it lasered off…

After he flirted his way through the whole Towie crew, their relationship came to an end and in March 2011, Lauren headed to a skin clinic to have Mark’s name removed from her crotch in an effort to erase him from her life.

Sell all reminders of your ex

Next up, she decided to sell anything that connected her to him.

First, the reality TV star sold the one-shouldered white frock she wore for her and Mark Wright’s engagement party for £800 on Depop describing it as, “comfortable for all occasions”.

Then, when she first split with her jailbird beau Joey Morrison in 2017, Lauren sold their matching his ‘n’ hers Chanel trainers she’d bought him as a 2016 Christmas present, pricing them at £500 on Depop.

If in doubt, throw the sentimental stuff out.

Don’t let your ex forget you

Lauren’s advice at the end of a relationship is to make sure you’re not forgotten.

Almost a year after it was announced that her ex Mark and his new love Michelle Keegan were set to wed, she posted a message on Instagram that read: “I’m not going to be the girl you marry, but I’ll be the girl you’ll be thinking of 20 years from now while you engage in polite sex with your boring wife who fakes her orgasm to make you feel better about your receding hairline.”

Ouch.

Then in 2017, Lauren told New magazine that she and Mark were dating at the same time as he was dating Michelle – claims which Mark was forced to deny.

Turn up to their honeymoon

And she even went as far as gatecrashing their honeymoon too, posting a shot of her holiday in Dubai, sipping a glass of champagne and sitting in front of a huge lobster dinner, at the same time that Mark was there on his honeymoon with Michelle.

This sparked a Twitter row with Mark telling her to “respect” his new wife and finally “move on” from the couple’s 10 year on/off childhood romance.

Brag openly about being dirty in bed

In March 2017 the Towie starlet opened up about her steamy plans for when her jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison got out of prison.

After revealing she’d been celibate for a year, Lauren told Closer magazine: “Joey’s going to be knackered when we’re finally alone because we’ll be very busy. There’s lots to do. I’ve been properly celibate for a year, but he’s worth the wait.”

Don’t give up on love – even if he’s in jail

Dating someone who gets locked up for 16 years for possession of a firearm, kidnap and blackmail would be a big no for most, but not for Lauren.

She continued her relationship with Joey Morrison – who she met over the phone – for 15 months despite having to communicate with him from the opposite side of prison bars.

Their relationship came to an end in July 2017 following a furious row inside HMP Highpoint South.

But that wasn’t the end of it.

In September 2018, Joey was released after serving nine years of his sentence and Lauren took her former jailbird back – even though there were rumours that he had an account on dating app Bumble – which she claimed was fake.

On Instagram she wrote some very sage relationship advice: “It’s coming to the realization that your relationship is more important [than] your differences. It involves acts of forgiveness and acceptance of one’s mistakes.”

But not long after this Lauren discovered a mistake she couldn’t forgive – Morrison contacting other women from his prison cell – and dumped him once and for all.

She later penned on Instagram: ‘It’s going to be my time now. I’ve learned lessons! I’ve grown! I’ve changed over the years and I promise to never let myself down again!”

Rita Ora and Eyal Booker 'dating' after being introduced by her best mate

Rita Ora is reportedly dating Love Island star Eyal Booker after they were set up by her best mate.

Curly-haired hunk Eyal met Rita’s bestie Vas J Morgan while they were both looking for love on the most recent series of Celebs Go Dating.

Fashion mag editor Vas has a close friendship with Rita and was seen on the E4 dating show calling her on FaceTime for some advice ahead of his dates.

According to insiders, he felt Reets and Eyal were the perfect match after getting to know the Love Island star, and decided to introduce them.

They’ve were reportedly spotted snogging on a night out earlier this month and were pictured leaving London’s Notting Hill Arts Club following Rita’s intimate gig on Saturday night.

Rita is said to be dating Eyal Booker

And the source claims that Eyal is already firmly in Rita’s inner circle, having been one of just a few hand-picked people to watch her from the side of the stage at a recent gig.

The source told The Sun : “Rita and Vas are very close friends. He trusts Eyal and has got to know him on a personal level, and knew he and Rita would get along.

“Vas, Eyal and Rita’s sister Elena were the only people watching her from the side of the stage at the gig, proving he is already part of her inner circle.”

Rita recently split from her US rocker boyfriend Andrew Watt.

Eyal had met a girl he liked on Celebs Go Dating, but it seems things didn’t last beyond filming.

However, Mirror Online understand that Eyal was simply attending the concert with new pal Vas, and insiders insist there was absolutely no snogging going on.

Mirror Online has contacted Eyal and Rita’s representatives for comment.

Why Dating Sucks: Advice from a Dating Therapist

In the United States, as of April of 2017, 19% of people are using online dating or dating apps, and 84% of those people are looking for a romantic relationship. The dating industry brought in over $3 billion in 2017, with the Match.com app bringing in $2.1 million in one month alone!

And yet, over 1,000 people search the words “dating sucks” every month on Google.

Despite our technological advances and having access to resources that are meant to bring people together, people still report that they are struggling to find romantic relationships.

As a dating therapist in San Francisco who works with singles of all ages daily, if you are struggling — you are not alone! Today I want to share three pieces of advice that can help you change your dating outlook in 2019 (and the rest of 2018).

Dating Tip #1: Uncover the What and Why of Your DatingDamns

You can only go on so many bad dates before you start to wonder: Is it me? The truth is, while it is absolutely true that a LOT of your dating woes are impacted by the person you are currently getting to know, there is more in your control than you might realize. A DatingDamn is one of those places that keeps you blocked from flowing into a great relationship, and redirects your energy back into the same old patterns that keep you unhappy.

Could a good friend (or you) easily identify your DatingDamn which keeps you stuck? The type of person you are uncannily drawn to, or the dynamic you seem to inexplicably find no matter where you go or who you talk to, or the way you always find something wrong with people who you were initially attracted to? That is your DatingDamn!

Now, you may already know what your DatingDamn is, but the most important step is getting to the why of your DatingDamn. I see this again and again with my dating therapy clients. Until they understand why and can deconstruct it, they keep repeating this pattern!

Dating Tip #2: Get Clear On Your Needs

Once you uncover your DatingDamns and why you are drawn to them, it starts to unblock energy and focus and gives you space to get the dating energy flowing in a new direction. So, now is a great time to get clear on exactly where you want that energy flowing.

What do you really need and want? There might be some things from that old DatingDamn that you truly need and want in your life, but in a healthier dynamic. Or maybe the ideal that you *thought* you wanted, actually isn’t a good fit for you. Now, you need to get clear and honest about what you really want.

Write it down. Draw it out. Make a fun collage or vision board. And look for the spots where you might even have competing needs that could be keeping you feeling stuck. This is where having an outside person can be so incredibly helpful. They can often see things from a perspective that you can’t and help you get crystal clear. That person could be a dating therapist, or even a good friend that you trust.

Dating Tip #3: Stop Doing What Isn’t Working

As you start to allow your energy to flow in the direction of what you really want, and you stop pouring your energy towards old patterns that don’t serve you — things may start to get uncomfortable.

Ever heard about those concrete dams that have been in place for a long time and they start to fail, and there is an entire city in the line of the natural flow of the river? When the energy gets unblocked it is going to take you in directions that might start to “inundate” or impact some old habits, places, or patterns that you feel REALLY comfortable in.

Much of the reason we get stuck in unsatisfying places is that they are familiar, and therefore comfortable, while the new and unfamiliar can feel very unsettling. But you want something new in your life, right? This is the path. It will be incredibly tempting to put the DatingDamn back in place and go back to the old, familiar pattern that feels so comfortable. Try to stay conscious of that temptation and tendency.

Moving through those uncomfortable moments and letting the flow guide you to new ways of being, doing, and relating is where the real magic happens! That is where you start to connect with people more aligned with what you want for your life, and start to relate in a way that leaves you open to creating a deep, bonded connection, and can give you new insight to more easily move away from or say no to connections that don’t serve your true vision.
